Can my family become catholic even though my fiance and I have a child out of wedlock? we are both interested?

In joining the church and one day getting married in a catholic wedding. We do live together and like I said have a 3 year old son together who I want to be raised as a catholic. Any help, info, or links that may be related would be very useful for us.
