Have stones ever helped you? Like rose quarts and turquoise rocks?

I just got a turquoise rock and it's supposed to help heal you and open up your throat chakra. I just want to know if it's just bull crap or if it actually can help you. If you really have no idea then please don't answer with no. Be open minded. But if you have personal experience please tell:)
