I have a question about biblical law?

Why aren't there any christian that follows the Levitical law (about how adulterers have to be stoned, and animals have to offered, etc.)? Jesus said he didn't come to abolish the law, so all these old rules still apply, right? Or what law was he talking about when he said that?
