What game for Ps1 had a little boy with a Lantern or a little girl with a stuffy as the main characters?

when i was little i played a game where you got to pick weather you were a boy or girl if you were a boy you got a boy in night cap and lantern as your weapon and if you pick girl you got a little girl with a pink night gown and a stuffed animal or doll its been driving me nuts what Game was this? i think they battled Darkness but i cant be sure
