Good allergy medicine?

I recently moved (to attend college), and while I have never had allergies before, the area I'm in is known for really bad allergies. Lately I've had a runny nose (although occasionally it's stuffy) and have been sneezing every 15 minutes. What is a good medicine to use to treat these problems? Thanks!
