here are some methods that work for me: take a long hot shower, the steam seems to clear sinuses and runny/stuffed noses. drink warm milk or tea at night to calm and relax you...this may also feel good on your throat. if you cannot sleep maybe take some nyquil or however you spell it. if your throat still persists to bother you take cough/throat drops that numb the back of your throat, its not the best feeling but it 100% rids the pain and sandpapery feeling. hope it helped
